  6. Green chilli
  7. 10-12 pcs Cashewnuts
  8. 4 tbsp Ghee
  9. leaves Curry
  10. Salt
  11. 1/4 tsp hing
  12. 5 cup Water

Instructions to make to make Pongal

  1. Dry roast the moong dhall and soak it then soak the rice.
  2. In the pressure cooker add 2tbsp ghee,hing,ginger,green chilli,rice,water and salt pressure cook it for 5whistle in a medium flame.Let the pressure release then open the lid and smash the rice.
  3. In another pan add 2tbsp ghee,cashewnuts,pepper corn,hing,cumin seeds&curry leaves.Now mix this to the rice.
  4. The pongal is now ready to serve with sambar,coconut chutney and methu vada.
